Our Programs

In keeping with this mission, the Spruce Cove Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre:

  • provides an accessible location for injured and orphaned wildlife to be dropped off for rehabilitation
  • works closely with veterinarian Dr. David Evans of the Chester Basin Animal Hospital and Dr. Francis Bail of the St.Margaret’s Bay Animal Hospital, as well as Wildlife Biologist Mr. John Mills of the Department of Natural Resources to ensure that the animals’ well being remains a top priority
  • provides a safe environment for members of the community to visit
  • offers programs that will educate the public about the importance of wildlife conservation
  • helps increase economic growth to the area by providing an attraction for tourists to visit
